Yamato Vendor House Stuffed With Cool Deco Stuff

If you're looking for some deco ideas, make a character on Yamato and go see the house on Yamato in Luna at these coordinates: 98o 47' N 28 o 45' W. It's the last house on the right (north) before you leave Luna if you run from the moongate and then run west through the central bank area. There's a funny orange tile structure with a rug on it, two tall banners and a dress form "person" directly in front of the house. The house name is LUNA*LUNA and the owner is Tiffany. (The house sign is kind of hard to read because there's stuff draped over it. LOL)

Whoever decorated the house has made lots of small flower and other "still life" type arrangements around the house out of a variety of objects. Open the paperdolls of the vendors, especially those inside on the 2nd floor, and see how they are dressed. There are also a couple of "dress forms" that look pretty cute. And last but not least, take a look at some of the vendor backpacks. Absolutely stunning backpack art!

This isn't the only house that I've seen on Yamato with amazing deco stuff. This one just hit me in particular because of the small scale flower arrangements. Haven't seen some of them before.

The house deco is cool, i loved the dress form on the second floor with the silver underskirt. I don't know about the backpack art though...that may be because I prefer the teddy bear ones myself.
Thanks for sharing, I got a few ideas from looking at this house, especially the plants

Lol, nothing gets me to log in faster than "COOL HOUSE COME LOOK!" type posts. Well maybe "IDOC CASTLE ON ____ SHARD!" posts, but that's about it. :D

...and having said, that I think Yamato is down right now! Boo hiss!

Edit: I got on Arirang in the meantime, and I think this visit is deserves its own post. :p

Yeah, Yamato is down for maintenance between 7 and 7:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time.

I would love to see the house, but I am stuck in New Haven on Yamato. I can *never* find the gate off of New Haven!! :wall:

The gate is to the west of town, just go past the carpentry NPCs and head SWish. :)

Technically there are gates both east and west but the west gate is easier to get to and is the one you jump out of if you're travelling to New Haven. The other one still worked for departures last I checked, though. :p It's all the way out of town and south along the dirt road, past the brigands and across a bit of bridge. :)

I'm going to head out there and check it out today, too. I'm dying to rebuild my Chessy house (though I'll have to re-open the account to do it, hehe), so any new building and deco ideas I can get are getting saved for sure! ^_^

I did finally make it to the gate and the house. Someone (the name escapes me right now, I am very sorry) found me wandering helplessly in New Haven and escorted me to a gate. It is an awesome house!

Omg! That vendor shop is super cute! While you all are there run a little more North and then turn East. Go the the third house on the right. Its an 18x18 brick and stone house. The name of the house is Sound Horizon. It is absolutely gorgeous! The detail and decorating ideas are superb. Those homes were well worth the trip over to Yamato.

I'm not sure screen shots would do some of those places justice. It's easy to make a character there and just use the Haven moongate to jump to Luna. I'm in the western U.S. and have very little lag on Yamato. Give it a try, Beefy. The lag might not be half as bad as you expect.

Wow. I guess when people say that decorators should visit the Asian shards they're not kidding.

I think what people are appreciating are a lot of small touches that most vendors normally don't go to the trouble to employ. It did inspire me to do some of my own backpack art on some vendors I put up recently. I'd take pics of them with their wares on as well, but a bunch of barn raised heathens keep buying the backpack art up, no matter what I price it at. I'm actually really tempted to turn this into some kind of money making scheme. :p

I had to redo the cat (lucky I had 2 more seashells of the right type, and the egg), the dog is totally missing now and I need to make more ears, and someone just bought up the peacock's body. Which is a huge pain because of how I had to layer things. Just to replace the body I'm going to have to do gold coin, yarn ball scale, eyes, head, body, head, eyes, scale, yarn ball, gold coin. Yuck!

I was inspired by a lot of what I saw in Yomato Luna, not just this vendor. There are a lot of interesting designs. I'm planning some more Asian shard vacations now....
