Well, if your a tamer you can only tame a Cu-Sidhe if you are an elf. I don't know if you can ride a cu-sidhe without ML.

You can ride a cu-sidhe as a human but you need to wear pads of cu-sidhe to ride it.
To the OP, I think it's worth it, you are missing out on a lot of good content and group hunts without it.
