[Parry] What was I thinking?

Ok, I have an account I rarely use. I have a swordsman still wearing valorite armor, sheesh.

Anyway, these are his skills, and for the life of me I can't figure out why I would want lumberjacking and parry on the same character. I'm thinking I should move one of the skills off and pick up Resist instead since I'm going to be standing toe-to-toe. What do you think?

It's a valid template for some encounters to be honest, I'm no expert but the deep sea fellow rings a bell with this.

I have no idea where it is or how to start it but I bow down to corpse of bears skills and I think he ran something similar to do it.

Turns out he also has a fire beetle in the stables, but no mining skill.

I think I'm going to stone Parry and move Mining onto this character and make him a resource gatherer.

Well, the trouble with LJ/Parry is that you can either hold an axe or a shield, but not both, so one of the skills isn't being used well.

Or pick up Bushido and Parry with your axe?

If I parry with an axe, isn't parry with a sword and shield better? If I have a Parry mastery and want to use shield bash, don't i need a shield?

No, Parry with a two handed weapon with Bushido and Parry is better.

I don't know about the mastery.

well, I still think this guy is unworkable. In order to add bushido, id have to drop lumberjacking or parry. I just don't see LJ and parry workable on the same toon.

I would replace LJ with bushido and use counter strike a lot.
But you really need to get 120 swords there, and you will want to have the -10 mana reduction from the 300 skill points, so you will need at least 120 swords, 100 or 80 bushido, 100 or 80 parry (depending on what you picked for bushido).
Resists at 90 tends to be enough for PvM. Most of the time you can go with 0 even.

And remember, heightened senses, which increases the parry chance with a shield has a mana upkeep, so you can't have it active 100% of the time.

And he has 120 swords on a stone. If I keep tweaking the second toon, eventually I end up with the first toon.
