I'm a musician so there is no one thing im into, I respect all forms of music as long as it has a decent rhythm, melodies and some soul. But lately I have been into Opeth (Epic song writers), COB, Nevermore (Jeff loomis OMG need I say more), I have been listining to Megedeth's Endgame a lot lately mostly because its new.

I love 80's thrash, British metal Priest, maiden exc, exc., Rap, Hiphop, Punk, Blues, jazz, classical.

Some good ones there COB is off the hook But they haven't beat their hate crew album yet, I cant stand Herman ree, and Petrucci although very talented plays too robotic I cant feel any emotion in his playing.

But if you like those you will like this. Epic song.

THis is one of my fav bands of all time actually...

The drummer actually broke his neck, and finished the tour with a broken freaking nexk... and STILL rocked..

The lead guitar player in the earlier vid had died within the last 10 yerars, and is literally like a GOD in Japan.

These guys are HUGE all ove the world, like they are HUGE! Like Metallica and Ozzy huge... But couldn't sell out a 250 cap club in America to save their lives, so they don't come here, which sucks..

I like all kinds of music.. There is like 200+ bands that I have on my computer, everything from Power Metal, Melodic Death, Folk/Viking metal, Symphonic/Gothic metal.. I am not so much as a fan of screams and growls so I prefer clean vocals, which is why I generally like Power Metal more, but there are some really good viking and folk metal bands as well.

Wintersun - Death and the Healing
Celtic Legacy - Resurrection
Persuader - Twisted Eyes
Dragonland - Contact
Pagan's Mind - God's Equation
Crystal Eyes - The Charioteer
Pyramaze - What Lies Beyond
Elvenking - The Perpetual Knot
Kamelot - The Light I Shine On You
Freedom Call - Warriors of Light
Tyr - Light of the Northern Star << Awesome band
Hammerfall - Heeding the Call

I think you all get the general idea..

I also prefer metal from today, its just as good than anything from 70's or the 80's, you just have to look for the non-mainstream parts of it.. Power Metal is very underground, and very good..

Ya, Dragonforce is power metal.. Power Metal has been around since the 1980's, bands like Blind Guardian, Iced Earth and Helloween were the pioneers in it.. Especially Helloween, the genre was created as a response to Black Metal. It is basically speed metal/heavy metal with classical influences.

Yoshiki (the drummer you're talking about) holds a world record for drum speed, or did. Maybe it was broken. But he is wicked amazing. And insane.
I actually got to see hide's (the guitarist who died) museum before they took it down. X Japan is known in Jaan but hide is only respected in the small rock community. He's not really a god... but he is amazing. Oooh, hide. Stop bringing my fangirl out, Tesla.

Small rock community, that country is about 20-25 years behind us as far as music goes... They get something they like and keep it. Mr Big recently reunited, and sold out Stadiums in Hong Kong and Tokyo... X Japan is HUGE all over the world, trust me... I study these things and write reviews and am a DJ... I have to know this ****. To Americans they are not really much... I may have overspoke when I said gods... Didn't remember to clarify... they are ROCK gods.

I have been a fan of X Japan for about 20 years now. It's my goal to see them live at least once before they hang it up.

They're well known, but I wouldn't say huge. And sure they can sell out a concert, but of course they ****ed up their last tour and kept canceling. I love those guys to death, have all their albums back home and lots of hide memorabilia, but they are not as big in Japan as you think they are.
No one will ever be able to put together as amazing a rock band as these five.

You can find the song I.V. From when they reunited in 07 on the Saw 4 Sountrack.

I just found an album I had of them called "X": Vanishing Vision

I forgot they were only called "X" for a while... Wow.. Guess I dont know as much as I thought... eitehr that or I have forgotten more then I remember DOH!

They were supposed to play Madison Square Garden, but Yoshiki had a herniated disc or something.

"Yoshikitty"... a mix of Yoshiki and Hello Kitty. LOL

Zilch and Loudness are bands that have spawned from X Japan.

I know. I've had the song since it debuted. =]
Trust me, I'm a hardcore fan that is in the closet.
X has a lot of inner drama problems and this happens a lot. They cancelled their Korean reunion tour and several other shows some of my friends bought ticket to go to in Japn, thailand and Korea.
Zilch was pretty good, but nothing beats Spreadbeaver. Actually, Zilch was something hide was making with the helps of Marilyn Manson. He could have been -huge- here with his help.
I'm fangirling hardcore when I should be going to bed. Augh, augh, augh.

Well, they would still be as big as they were if they were all healthy and didn't let politics get in the way.

Whatever, I just want to see them once ...

I will never forget, and my kids who are into whatever is hip and poplular these days for teenagers, watched this with me and now they are both closet X fans... Hide's image (taken from footage of the Art of Life performance at the Tokyo Dome in 1993) played alongside X Japan during their performance of "Art of Life". With the use of Musion Eyeliner hologram technology.... It's freaking AMAZING! It brings tears to my eyes.

ICED EARTH FTW!!! HORROR SHOW has some of the heaviest brutal metal even in comparison to the crap coming out now a days.

**** dragonforce. i saw their crappy band live and they tried to sell their trash music with juggalettes on trampolines on either side of the stage with these hooches shakin their mammories during the songs. they called me out and had the spotlight on me because i wouldn't stand.

i then proceeded to flip them off. when lamb of god came on, i jumped on stage in front of mark morton and then was thrown off to enjoy two fractured ribs and a few bottles of vicodin :D
