What is the effect of Protection on Necro casting?

Protection gives -2 FC penalty, along with other penalties, while making spells not fizzle

but at least in the past, Necro was the exception, and FC would be fixed at 0 regardless of the FC items you have.

Is it still working that way? can some1 test and confirm please?

It was stated in a Five On Friday that Protection sets your FC to zero for all spells (chiv, necro, magery). No more, no less. Flat out Zero even with jewels.. I don't have the link, sorry. Hopefully someone else does.
