My main character is a cannoneer and I added two swordsmen and an archer as my mercenaries. At first I didn’t tinker with the lineup so I got the archer swordsman and my cannoneer in the front with the other swordsman alone in the second row. When my archer kept dying, I had to equip her quickslot with healing potions. When I learned that the lineup could be changed, I switched their positions and since the archer isn’t really good for frontline battle so I put her behind the two swordsmen along my cannoneer so they’d be protected.
