There are 2 FAQ posts containing the ML items that were added for begging. Neither list has the correct names and I've found the breakdown of "tiers" to be off too. Here are some actual stats I've gathered over the last few days as I trained begging from 0-85.3

Also, I've found that some of my reversed art water and liquor pitchers became relabeled as "a container with liquor" and "a container with water". I've tried to nail down what causes it but no luck so far. I accidently discarded my pitchers of wine so I don't know if they were affected. Also my bottles of wine all say "empty", and no I didn't drink them.

As far as I know wine bottles always was empty.

One thing I wish they had not changed was the name on the pizza. It was "A cheese Pizza"
That was changed over a year ago though. Before I started playing KR in closed beta in April of 2007
Are they changing the names again.
If so can they please make the bottle of wine say "an empty wine bottle"

Here's the final tally I did from Heartwood. I got all the junk I wanted so I'm begging coin to GM, at 96.5 currently. In order from rarest to commonest. Notice that's over 8000 begs. I'd say these figures represent a good sample and do divide the items into 3 groups (allowing for double directions for some items) as listed on UOGuide.

Thanks for the info, but I do have one question. How long have you been training? Hours-wise I mean. Can you give us a ballpark?

I'd guess that those stats show about 30 hours of begging. My beggar is also my gardener at the moment and I've just started growing a full collection from scratch so its hard to judge the hours.

edit: Went back and checked my journals, and I started begging on 8-16 for the first time. So my first post shows 1 week of work and the 2nd shows another week.

For those that are using UO:KR there is another thing you may want to do.

Go to the body sculpter and get a new look.

The elder body looks more like a skinny begger. (Undead is going a bit too far) To show it off more you may want to pick clothing to fit the part as well. A shirt (you got from begging) and short pants is one combo. (Trust me you don't want to use a plain dress)

Picking the right face to fit your style of begging. Be good looking in hopes of getting more from each you beg from. (I don't think a scowl will get you mush though.) it is all up to you.

I know it takes a lot of time to GM begging. Since the timer is long. Heard some stuff to go with you. They need not be tame to follow a beggar around. Sheep and birds are the two I like best. They also are not considered as followers. That means you can take the entire sheep pen along with you. That one makes people wake up and take notice that there is a beggar in town.

Brit is a good place for this. There are a lot of people around the bank. They can see what the NPC says, and many others want to get into the roll giving you gold.

Err, that makes people wake up and take notice that a SHEPHERD is in town. Not a beggar.

A beggar only needs one skill: Begging - Actually you really don't even need the skill of begging. The skill of begging only grants you a title and the means to beg from NPCs. To beg from your fellow players all you really need is a little skill with word play and an open hand.

Many times over the years Salty Pete has had 0 begging skill (prior to this soul stone nonesense) and I had no trouble at all begging from my fellow players.

Not saying that you need have hearding skill, nor drag a bunch of sheep around. Idea is that there is no follower limit added. I just think it is something to help break up the bordom that sometimes come when you try and gain skill.

I know that some may be having trouble targeting. Possably doing as I do would help. I hit the macro to beg then all names targeting the handle not the NPC. Untill they come up with something better. I know it helped me.

What is the lowest skill needed for group 1 begged items? I received 2 fish steaks today; the first at 46.3 skill, and the second at 48.7.

I'm pretty sure skill level only determines the success/fail of a beg. What elves drop is randomly determined, some items are simply rarer than others.
