Interesting.

Those Potions have quite the cooldown, 30minute cooldown means there's only going to be about ~16.5% uptime, also I wonder if these potions are purge-able via mysticism?... I will have to check it out on TC1 later I suppose.

I was soooo hoping the rest of shadowguard artifacts would become PoF-able, Brittle, Replica or w/e. (PoF-able preferred :D), but the publish looks good so far!

Most of those Potions give +Resists, which is pretty worthless (unless they go over the cap), especially to people in Legendary Armor.
I bet that most people are going to be siding with the Eodians, for a chance at those Sakkhran Birds of Prey, hoping that they can get the Blackrock color so they can sell it (if it can be transferred). I get the feeling that the "Uber Rare" for the Blackrock color, is like Slim's Shadow Veil or Blaze Cu Sidhe kind of rare.
Who wants to bet that people are going to be dropping Harbingers on the opposing side in the Myrmidex Pits, particularly on Atlantic.

Consumables are acquired from the smugglers edge? :p
Yeah, the same consumables that can be gotten from stealing from Champ Spawn/Fel Dungeon monsters. Not surprising that not very many people know about this, considering how dead the Stealing skill is. Monster Stealables - UOGuide, the Ultima Online Encyclopedia

Beat back the Myrmidex, did the questline (Love how it makes you go gamble at the Casino in one of its steps).

The Boss fight so far...
She threw a bunch of eggsacs which hatched into random Myrmidex
She doesnt move from the center (So far)
She causes caveins? Rocks fall to the ground dismounting you.
There are these Moonstone Crystal Shards on the ground? Clicking them makes them disappear...not sure what they do

Oh my god they actually did the "vanity mount rehued in increasingly rare colors" thing. Hallelujah. Solid content with bosses and questlines that reward lots of things people will actually want. The game has been in sore need of something like this for a long time.

I know I complain a lot when it comes to certain things, but 100% unequivocal thumbs-up on this. Time of Legends in general has been some very solid stuff in my opinion, especially considering the small team and ancient tangled spaghetti code.

No, and IMHO there shouldn't be. But...remember that you can gather the pieces on any char and then get the quest and turn them in on another char.

Question for those who've done the Barrab quest already:

Several of the Barrab craftable rewards require ingredients that are found killing Myrmydex... Aren't you supposed to be friends with the Myrmydex if you're on the Barrab side?

Maybe but they seem expensive to me and you can only use one each 30 min so you have to time it well.

Ingredients needed:
Bottle
20 Ginseng
5 Plant Clippings
5 Myrmidex Eggsacs (Available from the corpse of Myrmidex Drones & the Myrmidex Queen)

I do like we will see a demand for regs and plant clippings.

I also like other craftable and quests need resources, we had seen very low demand for the last years. Maybe some will start doing mining again.

Does the Potion last enough time to more easily kill a BOSS Monster or a player's Character in PvP ?

If so, these Potion will have their use freeing up Skill points which can be used to increase other skills in the template.

It is a way, with a 30 minutes cooldown timer, to be able, at least temporarily, to exceed the Skill CAP and quite also a bit.....

Players will just need to find something else to do or use another character during the 30 minutes Cooldown timer.........

actually, you don't need a smuggler's edge to steal those, just a good thief. I use them all the time, they last for 30 minutes, which is quite a handy boost. There's a demo vid on my youtube channel.

Today's gamer wants to be able to drop into and out of action without a bunch of artificial time impediments.

Lets analyze the potions real quick:
Barrab - 100 HPR for 10 seconds. Meh. +10 HPI 50 5 mins. Decent, if it allows you to exceed the cap of 25.
Jukari - +10 Fire for 10 mins. Unless it allows you to exceed the cap, meh. +10 Stam Increase. This is very nice, if not potentially unbalancing.
Kurak - Essentially a Myrmidex super slayer, unknown duration. This is a nice potion, but does it apply to spell damage?
Barako - +10 Physical +5 Cold for 10 mins. Again, unless these allow for over capping, meh.
Urali - +10 Mana p/sec for 10 sec. Cute, but meh...it's only 100 mana. +10 Mana Increase for 5 mins. That could be handy.
Sakkhra - +10 Poison +5 Energy. See the above over capping comments.

None of these are real game-changers necessitating a 30 min cool down. Halve it to 15 mins and you suddenly have (potentially) strategic potions that you just might carry more than two of.

I have to admit I haven't bothered going after these in the last 4-5 years, nor have I seen them for sale on GL in ages (though vendor search shows a few for sale). If the effect of the balms last for 30 mins, I need to go after some...

The healing one (basically bushido's confidence in a bottle) will probably save people from dying in pvp, probably make life harder for mages going for the killing blow, but with the cool down I don't know how big a deal it would be (honestly don't). Also don't know how much of a pain the new ingredient will be to get. That's the only one that would effect pvp, unless the resist ones break the caps, which I highly doubt.

As for pvm, I don't see any of them as anything but a nice boost. The +hp/+stam would be helpful in conjunction with regular greater potions, and an extra 10 mana is always nice, but it's not going to take you from being unable to beat a boss to being able to. Just make it a bit easier. Again, the timer will severely limit the overall effect. No one is going to build a suit that only works right 1/6 of the time. Again, if the resist ones break the cap, that's difference, but all past additions point toward that not being the case.

None of these potions would allow for freeing up skill points. Not sure where you are coming from on this point.

These potions really have nothing to do with skills. The only ones that do something a skill can do are the healing and mana regen ones, and they only do it for 20 seconds an hour.

They absolutely would not. You really think people will play 10 minutes out of an hour for a boost? They won't.

I wonder if there are quicker methods than smugglers edge at a champ spawn. I guess a tamer/thief could rob distracted balrons or something and kill them quickly enough to get a good amount? Might be worth a shot.

The UOGuide page puts cooldown and duration in the same column, making it unclear which is which. Try the wiki page for clarification. If anyone wants to watch it, my video is here


The queen was a bit too much for my lowly bard, but she managed all the preceding steps. At one point the queen went yellow. Not sure how long that lasted or what triggered it (if anything). Summoned warriors in the nest are much harder to provo than those outside, I haven't lored them to see the difference.

I agree with you when it comes to production shards... but for someone who just wants to hit TC real quick to try new content I think it would be beneficial. It would allow more folks to log on and actually test stuff.

I finished kinda the Myrmidex side while Stratics was down last night. One of the quests gave a tmap which I had to decode (Needed carto). The last piece needed was found in the tchest



Which eventually led me to the "Boss" room


There was no visible enemies, nothing I could find to interact with. No clue what to do.


In recap, lets compare the two


Both:
You have to win your side of the battle to take the quests

Britannian:
Kill some Myrmidex
Win some games at the Casino
Kill a vorpal bunny
Kill the Queen

Myrmidex:
Get 1 of every SA gem
Get 500 Ingots, 25 gears, 5 power crystals, 2 clockwork assemblies
Kill 10 Water Eles, Sea Serpents, Deep water sea serpents, 5 Krakens (They have to be killed in the south ocean, kills anywhere else dont count. Nets seem the best option).
Find the MIB + fish it up
Decode the TMap with Cartography, find it, dig it up
Spend 100k at a vendor
"Boss" - Still not sure what to do

These I can actually interact with. Seems to be 7 of them. You might need 2 people to hit these levers at the same time? Only thing I can think of. Man the Myrmidex side is hard

"Boss" - Still not sure what to do
Was talking with a guy last night on TC who said the Boss room was over run and was insta death. Is there more than one boss? He was showing me a underground entrance in the desert. He would go in full health and come out a second later redlined lol. I could not enter due to not being far enough in the quest though.

Was talking with a guy last night on TC who said the Boss room was over run and was insta death. Is there more than one boss? He was showing me a underground entrance in the desert. He would go in full health and come out a second later redlined lol. I could not enter due to not being far enough in the quest though.
Thats the Myrmidex Queen (Which is if you are on the Britannian Side)

If you chose the Myrmidex side you got the Kotl Antechamber where the pictures of that room I posted are.

ty sir for the clarification. Those Myrmidex be speed hacking and casting at a dang 6/10 at times :) Definitely a battle.

On a different note. In newsletter 2 we were told in publish 92 there would be granite only for shovels to pick from. They said they didnt have time so it would be in 93. Now that 93 has come to test I went there last night and guess what? No granite only on the shovels. With everyone building with granite its still hard to get what you need. They could also have added it to the mining carts.

Character copy someone who has completed the loyalty quest to TC1...

Will there come a time to where area spells will not hit those I am aligning myself to? ... and anyone found a way to check loyalty rating? Can't seem to find that anywhere either.

What is the point of playing Siege? It's so awful, the whole game is about crafting and builing suits which you can't do on Siege as you would lose them after one death? Everyone in Siege plays a deathstriking poisoner. It's like pre-aos, which despite everyone's nostalgia, was awful.

How many suit you will lose depend of how much you trash talk.
People on Siege play what they like to play and some do run in nice gear. Give it a try.

But I agree, more Fel content would be nice on Prodo shards or some love to Siege to make suits easier to replace.

It's almost impressive how clueless the people that run this game are with pvp. It's already hard to kill people who just run away now lets give them potions that will make them impossible to die during a certain time frame!

Hmm.. Just tried in on a char who hadn't done the original quest, she was able to use an allegiance idol.

@Kyronix The first quest should be required to use the idols..

Welp I don't have a cartographer or a fisher, not decoding any maps or fishing up any mibs. Guess I'm outta luck. That was a fun 16 hours or whatever of enthusiasm.
