Traiing Disco and Provocation with 0 Music

Would it be easier to train the bard skills if you had your music locked at 0?

I was thinking it would increase the difficulty for you against a given monster, making it possible to train to higher levels of disco and provo on weaker guys, such as gamans.

I'm going nuts raising provo, anyone got a good macro to target two hostiles near your char?

    Thanks!

all barding skills are done in leveled checks.

the first pass check is your music check.
if you pass that check then you go onto the direct skill check.

that is where you either get a skill gain or not when that skill is toggled.

now, if you have your music set to 0 then you will NEVER get passed onto the skill check.

    so you will NEVER GAIN.

if you put your music to 100, then you have a 100% chance that you will pass the music check.

if you have 120 music then you will pass your music check 100% of the time AND you will also get a 20% bonus.

so when you are training you want 100 and 100 only for music skill.

you want to pass the first pass skill check and you dont want to ever fail that check.
you also dont want the 120 bonus cause that will also lessen the chances of a gain.

hope that explains that for ya.
