Howdy folks.
Just wanted to address something quick, as I had a few people contact me with concerns following tonight's Governor meeting.
I've addressed this before elsewhere but feel it necessary to do so again. Every Governor should have the reasonable expectation of being able to be heard and participate at every given meeting. Tonight I felt we didn't do a good job of that.
The biggest reason for the King's Audiences this past month was to provide an opportunity for discussions that perhaps were not appropriate to take the Council's time with. Some took me up on that, and I think everyone had an enjoyable time. In the past, I've requested that any major "threats to the realm" type scenarios or other dramatic situations that might make for a lengthy discussion be sent to me in an email before the meeting is held so that I can look at it before hand and ensure that no single item dominates the entire agenda. Now, I am insisting upon this. Part of the blame here rests with me, and I will be more consistent going forward.
Thank you.
