Swords raises 2x faster than tactics.

I have a character that hadn't yet eaten 120s in swords and tactics. Yesterday evening I ate both scrolls.

Following my own advice, I went into a dungeon to raise my skills. I've been killing gold elems in BT. Swords went from 105 to 120 in the same time that tactics went from 110 to 117. This strikes me as odd, given that they're getting used at the same rate. Maybe the fact that swords is difficulty based and tactics is simply use based makes the difference?

In my experiences, tactics always is lagging melee skills in training.

It's quite odd really as most other secondary gaining skills raise faster. If you train Magery, Eval usually gets there first, same with Necro, SS, uh Myst, Focus lol... plus Eval/SS are easiest to raise just spamming Create Food/Curse Weapon, so goes along with what you noticed with them being use based not difficulty.

Usually I just stone off my main melee skill and then do it again.

Same here. Started with 100 swords, 100 tac. After swallowing the PS I'm currently at 112.6 swords & 105.8 tac.
