Switching masteries

Hello,

I wonder, since you can only chose one mastery, is it possible to switch masteries once one is chosen? Or am I stuck with my choice for life? I've still not tried the masteries, because I want to make an informed choice.

Regards

Oh, so I do the disco-quest, disco all night long, and then in the morning I do the peacemaking quest to sooth my headache, and then do the disco-quest again?

Thanks for the help, let the good times begin!

ya you can switch them up whenever you want.

its kinda nice that they made the quests so quick and easy that you can literally take 30 seconds to switch should you need too.

at first i was very dissapointed by hows silly easy it was to get that quest done.
considering that these are suppose to be 'masteries'

Where's a good area for the provo mastery? I was wandering around moonglow, but i was wondering if there's a better place

The provo mastery seems to be the hardest to achieve. In comparisation with the other two, it is incredible hard. Not hard to do but hard to find healers inr ange of rabbits.
What i did, was buying rabbits from the stables and gate them close to a healer. Fortunately red healers do work, too. But you have to use 5 different healers. So best advise is, to search one, mark a rune, recall to stable, buy a rabiit, gate near healer, release and provoke. Not really an easy way and you need magery high enough for gating.
Instead of buying a rabbit, it might possible that you simply can tame one. At least my human bard should be able to do with joat-taming.

I m for removing the quest that you can switch beetween EVERY Barding Masteri abbility that you have if you have the skill so thats only mana is the cap.
So it s not fair and practicable to people white a lot of barding skills (3-4) the downt getting somethin for that extra only work if the want another used ..........

I think what he said is that its unfair that people with multiple bard skills have to keep retaking the quest for abilities they're entitled to.

Which was said many times (and ignored) when they came out.

I agree too, seeing as only one of each seems to be useful.

i think its a good feature.

the quests only take a couple of minutes to do and it makes you specialise in one field.

the game shouldnt be walk all over easy all the time.
you should have to do a little work from time to time, not just get spoon fed everything.

if it was that easy then who would play?

nope, i like it the way it is.
makes you think about what you want and what you need for what your doing.

Its an unnecessary limitation that nothing else in UO is subject to. It doesn't make you think anything other than "I can't be bothered to do that stupid and pointless quest again".

exactlly!

we are bards.

we are unlike any other class in uo, so why shouldnt our masteries be different then everything else?

again ill stick by what i said before, i think its a good thing.
besides that fact that if we had free range to use any mastery at any time then bards would rule the world and people would complain and we would get stroked with the nerf stick just like everything else in UO that is deemed to powerfull.

no thanks to that.
ill stick to what we got.
let everyone think that doing a 15 second quest is to hard and to beneath them.

I don't want to use any at any time, just the ones I have skill points in, I don't think thats unreasonable.

They could still make it so that (for example) you could only use 2x Prov OR 2x Disc ones at once, not 1x Prov 1x Disc, but you should be able to deactivate one and use the other without having to leave what you're doing. You often don't know, especially at EM events, which are going to be worthwile and are often somewhere not easy to get back to.
