Funcom’s new modern-day MMORPG The Secret World released its first major content update today. The update, titled “Issue #1: Unleashed,” introduces new missions, more nightmare-mode dungeons, and a marketplace system, among other things. The details of the new missions are as follows:

New Missions

• Carter Unleashed: navigate the hallways of Innsmouth Academy on Solomon Island in a quest to help a gifted student
• Crime and Punishment: investigate the writings of horror novelist Sam Krieg
• Hell & Bach: unravel the mystery surrounding reporter Daniel Bach
• Funeral Crasher: explore the haunted mansion of Eleanor Franklin
• The 3rd Age: travel to Egypt on a quest to unearth the distant past
• Red Handed: uncover the history of Dr. Varias and the Red Hand

Nightmare-Mode Dungeons

• Encounter new challenges and improved rewards when visiting dungeons The Ankh and Hell Fallen.

Marketplace

• *Buy, sell, and trade your unwanted items across marketplaces.
