Strange Item Found

I've never seen one before, but found it in the bottom of a bag I bought from a vendors, they were selling bags of stuff, one of those leaving UO sales.

Anyway, its called "A Demon Leather Book" and looks like a normal book in dark red.

Any idea where it came from or what its for?

Maybe from some event?

It's on Napa.

those red books are obtained through a simple quest in haven and that one is simply renamed, the regular ones just say "a book" and u can name them to whatever u want, many people name these different things and try to pass them off as a rare and sell them for a lot

Yes it does look similar to that book, from Lyle the Mage in New Haven.

I think his is called, "A Book Bound in Red Leather" or something like that.

But it is just a normal book that you can write in, just a different color.
