SPLotto !! (Siege Perilous Lotto)
Details:
- SPLotto is easy to play! Players wishing to participate may submit an entry each month by paying the entry fee of 5000 gps and selecting a 4-digit number of their choice. Each digit must be a number from 1 to 6. (Eg: 1234, 3456, 4444, 2266, etc). You may enter as many times as you wish by paying an additional entry fee. The more you enter the more chance you have of winning and the larger the prize pool becomes!
- On the last day of each month a draw will be made at Skara Brae Community Centre (or other venue as announced) in the presence of witnesses by the rolling of two dice. The total prize pool for the month will be advised prior to the draw.
- The numbers rolled will form that months winning SPLotto number.
- If a player has entered that number they will ‘win’ the SPLotto draw for the month and collect the prize pool. If two or more people enter the same number the prize pool will be split accordingly in equal shares.
- In the event that no one enters the winning number then the prize pool will Jackpot to the following month, in full, and be added to the following months draw. The amount will keep jackpotting until it is won.
- If you do not win at the end of the months draw you must re-enter to be eligible for the next month. Entries only apply to the month entered and do NOT carry forward month to month.
Write your unique player number, your Character's name and the number you wish to enter onto a book title, and place it in a bag with your 5000 gps. Please check to ensure it is accurate before submitting. See example below. (Note: Your player number may be seen by typing the word ‘test’ into general chat). If you wish to enter more than one number put your numbers inside one book and submit the required entry fee (5k per number) in the bag so eg: for 10 numbers put the numbers in the book and 50k gold with your name and player number in the book title.
In the above example Eshelle has entered number 3241 into the draw.
Where to Enter:
- Deposit the book in Coco’s Vendor Mall mailbox (next to Umbra Hub) or
- Ask in general chat and Eshelle/Coco from Ice Cove Events [ICY] will meet you at a GZ location and take your entry.

About the Roll:
The example below demonstrates how the winning 4-digit number will be decided. In the example the circled numbers 1 5 5 4 would form the winning 4 digit number for that roll. The winning number must be in the exact order as shown (i.e. the first two numbers, in order, on roll one, then the numbers in order on roll 2). The total on each roll does not form part of the winning number.
How the Prize Pool is made up:
Each month the prize pool payout is 90% of the total gp collected for the months draw. Eg: if there are 30 entries @5k ea the total gps collected = 150,000 of which 90% will be issued as the prize pool for that months draw i.e. 135,000 gps. The remaining 10% goes to Ice Cove Events for future prizes/costs of producing events. If the prize pool is not won at the end of the months draw the 135,000 gps will Jackpot to the following month and be added to the prize pool for the following month (after commission is taken from that months collection).
Winner Payouts:
ICY will announce regularly in chat for the winner to come and collect funds however it is also up to the winner to ensure they collect their monies promptly by checking this forum to see if they won and notifying ICY how and when they wish to pick up their winnings. Winnings will only be ‘held’ for one month and must be picked up before the drawing of the next months SPLotto.
Recording and Audit:
All names and numbers submitted will be advised each month on the Ice Cove Events guild forum on Stratics. Total amount collected, issued and/or jackpotted will be available for information to any interested party. Jackpotting amount will be advised and all winners’ names and payouts will be recorded. Prize pool, Jackpots and Winners will also be announced in this thread on the SP Forum.
End Game:
In the event of Ice Cove Events deciding to stop running SPLotto the final draw will roll numbers until such time as the prize pool is won. If it is to be a final draw it will be announced on the forum to that effect giving anyone time to get an entry in if they so wish. All players who have entered in previous months will also have their names and entry numbers included in this final draw.
November Draw:
As this draw is commencing 'mid month' as the introductory event, Ice Cove Events will donate 100,000gps to the first prize pool! So get your entries in now to be the inaugural winner of the SPLotto!
