For the second time now in a week I've been burned.
Case 1: Focus is set "down" since I want it to die. Focus is the ONLY skill set down. It is possible I left something else set to "up", but highly unlikely. I moved a skill back to my mage, from a Soulstone, expecting that Focus would decrease by 15 points, but no. "Your skill in Inscription has been reduced by 15 points and is now 85.0". I about blew a gasket, since I had locked it. I looked at skill gui and Inscription was now set to "up" and instead of a GM scribe I was having to work last 15 points again. Instead of enjoying my first weekend back in the game I made scrolls for about a day and a half. Paged a GM, they answered, can not help. Fantastical.
Case 2: Today, Focus set down still, only focus set down. I had just GM Lockpicking and locked it (ironic eh), logged, played on another character, then thought hey I will go ahead and eat Cartography 5.0 SoT I got my hands on and finish that the easy way.... did focus go down? no. This time, Lockpicking. Yup. Paged a GM again, but I'm too peeved to stay logged in. There are some nuances I don't get, but I am not an idiot. By not an idiot, I mean that absolutely NO I did not have lockpicking set down, and since I had just recently recovered from getting burned on losing 15 points of Inscription, I made sure it was locked. I had skills locked, or set down, so how in the hell did this happen?
Logic tells me, the only skill set down, should go down. A friend in game told me this was a bug that had been talked about before., so , what was said?
DOM
-edit for accuracy's sake, Meditation is also set 'down'
-still steaming the next day. 2 skills set to down, and eating a 5.0 SoT to gain in Cartography, takes away 5 points from a skill THAT IS NOT SET 'DOWN''. WHY?
