Anyone would think it's hard to keep forums online or something. I see the change in ownership has unfortunately not improved Stratics stability. I've honestly not seen a site in recent times with so much downtime. It's kinda sad.

@Spiritless - the forums were taken down for a few hours to perform much needed upgrades that hadn't been done prior to sale. The boards had to be closed, backups made, upgrades applied, some tests.... and we are back up. Good job I think!

Fair play, if the advertised downtime has already happened it was so fast I didn't even notice it. I genuinely hope this marks the end of all the random downtimes the site has persistently had in the past though which were seemingly occurring on a very frequent basis. Using Stratics was beginning to get very frustrating for that reason and it wasn't doing much to help your search rankings either.

Hopefully from here on it will be planned maintenance periods on a more of a scheduled basis. As much as we would like to, it simply isn't practical or good habit to leave the forums up continuously without regular backups and updates.
