Saving Text Log File - CC

If my memory serves me correctly when you are looking to save the text log you not only have to click the box in Options you also have to edit some dang file as well. BUT.. yeah.. my memory is not serving me too well on which dadgum file that is. Hoping some of y'all have a better memory then my old butt does

I recall that as well but can't remember what to do ... so I'm with you and await info on getting it right.

I did this recently and it does still work. I dropped the file directly to the root C: drive and skipped making a folder, but it works fine either way. Detailed instructions in the thread below. Note that someone said it would not work in Windows 10, and I cannot speak to that, as I am still running 7.

Edit UO.cfg (I open in notepad).... add JournalSaveFile=C:\CharacterName.txt ... then save? yes... creates the file on C

Derailment: If you want to prevent Win 10 downloads from happening, get GWX Control Panel. It's free, allows toggling of major update controls including prevention of forced updates to Win 10 when you have auto updating on.

i'm still running windows 7 but i'm curious to know why you aren't able to save your journal in windows 10. can someone please explain?
