2) how do i change the chat colors, yellow is terrible.

Do not think you can change the color in the client, might be a way to mod it, not completely sure tho never tried.

1) You can read this for some recommendations.
2) Unfortunately, the chat color cannot be changed in the EC.

For chat colors, look for the black chat bubble surrounded by a red circle button near your chat input. Right-click on it and select "Chat Colors".
