Question regarding CC/UOA account/sync

If you enter your password wrong then try to enter it again you get a name mismatch error in UOA and your UO will crash. I am wondering if this is specific to a type of Windows, as I don't recall it happening prior to Windows 7. Anyone get these errors with other versions of Windows, or other OS?
