Protector scrolls not working correctly

Pre patch 58 if a person who I am protecting gets a pink SoT scroll then the protector gets one as well. Now post 58 this is not the case. The protector gets a 105 piece of toilet paper instead of a pink SoT. Is this working as intended or somehtign that needs fixed?
