Your client may not be the most recent version.
You may be able to play the game with your current client.
Check http://www.uo.com/ for help on resolving patching issues.
Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.

I keep going into the patch file and deleting these patches...when uo tries to load again I get the same thing.

I'm not very tech savvy and would appreciate any help!

Check the patchlog file in the UO folder. Check near the end for errors.

I've read that and it does indeed list errors - I go and delete the last 2 patches and upon starting UO it tries to dl the patches again but always ends with errors - I can get into the game, but I get cliloc errors with new stuff (like the jack o' lanterns).

Delete the patchlog file, try to patch once, then open it again. So that you've only got the contents of a single patching in the file.

Is it then short enough to post the whole thing into the forum? Does it do a whole bunch of things successfully before getting the error, or does it happen pretty quickly into the patching process?

I had a similar issue, that I solved with a reinstall.

In some cases, it may be where you have multiple 2D client versions in your EA Games folder, that totally messes with the patcher (forex, my patcher went nuts because it tried to stick map1 file into my relic 9th anniversary edition folder that only had a few leftover user files in it, instead of the 2D client folder with the rest of the update._

I deleted the patchlog file and then tried to patch:

Try deleting the "AnimationSequence.uop" file. I read somewhere else of a similar problem, deleting the offending file caused it to be rebuilt. Otherwise, probably a complete uninstall/reinstall would work.

Thanks to all who replied!

I did a re-install and everything is now good - wasn't as time consuming as I had feared; though you would think they would have a more updated version to DL.

Old Man, I think deleting the file only works for the enhanced client. The classic client needs the old file there to modify, it won't just re-create it.
