ARC's PACIFIC WINTER FESTIVAL RARES AUCTION​

ANNOUNCING an Event just in time to get that special gift or beautiful piece of deco. ARC (Antiquities and Rares Collectors) will be hosting an Auction Event specifically for Rares and Items that are hard to get or to find.


When: December 11, 2010
Where: Twisted Unicorn Casino and Arena (Malas) - Pacific
Time: 12 Noon Starting

Items to be Auctioned:

There is some room for more items to be added, so if you would like to have some items auctioned off at the Event, please PM me or send me an ICQ to get the item approved. Please tell me the name of the item, the minimum bid for the item, and any history that the item may have.

Are you serious? You state your location as "In the Shadows behind Tetricyde!"
Isn't he the one who proudly stole the items from the rares festival auction?
That might just keep some (all, I would think) rares collectors from submitting items for auction.

I had that as my location shortly after the theft for awhile if you all remember. There are many things you can do from the shadows behind someone.

He probably just forgot to change it. I will be at the auction! I have a few things to run as well.

You have nothing to fear! Your Rares will be safe and secure. They will be held in a seperate bank box away from anyone else. No one else will have access to them as a co-owner, friend, or Guild Mate...

And yes, I did forget to change my location. It was just a joke that Lord Nabin started and I thought it was rather poignant, so I did it as well!

The problem I see with this, for any one NOT already on PAC, is to participate we would need to transfer to and from our home shard for an auction that is "like" a rares fest auction. Since these "mega auctions" already happen 3 or 4 times a year, I don't see people making an extra trip to PAC when there isn't a vendor concept around it.

Bottom line: just not worth the gold.

It also hurts your prospects when many, myself included, have talked and don't know the auction house running the thing and after the PAC fest everyone is ultra-precautions.

Auctions are very difficult to run and very stressful. Even devoting 110% to mine on Catskills, I still fouled up and lost one item (a guildstone deed owned by Apetul).

I think it's best to leave the auctions to the people that are submitting for Rares Fest sites.

I disagree PAH ran several monthly rares auctions which were smooth and very succesful prior to and after the rares fest on Pac. I enjoyed those very much.

Nothing says you have to submit rares to show up and bid. There are plenty of rares on pacific and well frankly the rares community is pretty good at pooling its resources together if they want to get items to a shard.

I am looking forward to this. When can we get a list of items which will be running?

I haven't seen the name PAH or other here. I think he's talking about a different auction house and location doing this auction.

If I'm wrong on this, so be it, but I'm certainly not the only one posting about hesitant feelings toward this.

Yes friend he is running the auction from his Casino home. My point was Rares auctions outside of the Rares festivals have been succesful in the past so why not now?

Thats all. I am sure others are a little hesitant as well. It is to be expected.

I for one have no hesitation and am looking forward to another auction.

Also, the heist was made by someone who TRANSFERED to Pac to only steal these items. It was not a person who had been on Pac for a large amount of time, but he has completely ruined the Pacific community's reputation. PAH naively trusted him because they didn't know his reputation, and I don't think he had ever cheated someone like this before.
Plenty of people on Pac are very good, trustworthy people, but there are also bad people out there. It could have happened to any shard. It just happened to us.
I would love to see another rares event held on Pac, and you can bet I will be at this one if I can be. ^^ I might even submit a few things.
