Are Americans just naturally getting stupider every decade or are we being brainwashed. It seems with every passing year some new act or bill is passed that takes away our freedoms as americans. Children in schools are getting stupider. Why? Not because they can't learn, because they surely can learn. I think its bcause our government wants our ciizens of following generations to be dumber then the previous. This way such ACTS like the HSA can be passed without resistance from the public. Is our government becoming an absolute fascist power?
Recently i took a look at the Homeland Security Act and this is a general difinition of what it says - The HSA is a sweeping anti-terrorism bill giving federal law enforcement agencies broad powers to monitor citizens .
Hmm, the ability to monitor us if we are suspected to being OR not being "terrorists". Kind of contradicts our whole bill of rights and freedom of speech don't you think? If anyone gets out of line the goverment can detain them for being a "terrorist suspect". Kinda sad really that such an act was passed.
I think the real terrorist is our goverment. They try to instill fear into the public and we eat it up. Such as the stupid terror warnings. The country is in a state of yellow, or orange, or high yellow alert "omg yellow alert i better go buy canned food and some water just incase!!".
How about that war in iraq? Will it ever be over. WTF did we go there to do in the first place? I thought the terrorists were in afganistan, sheeesh, saddam is dead and we still are there 7 years later. War only serves one purpuse now-a-days, making our federal reserve banks MORE rich. Wars cost money, money that the government needs to borrow from banks. Then who pays it back to the banks, we do. Have we found those WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION YET? That was george bush's favorite word a few years ago. Don't seem to hear it much anymore, seems everyone has forgot about those darn weps of mass destruction.
So i wonder what is going to come in the following years. Soon, we will have a new president, and their policies will be imposed upon us once again. God knows the new pres. wont be able to clean up the mess in iraq. And what can we do as the public, pretty much nothing but sit on our couch.
I think we as Americans should wake up and start getting angry about the state of our country. Cause the rich are getting richer, and the rest are just getting poorer, quieter, stupider, and scared. If we don't change soon i think we will become total slaves to our government without realization.
