Best Shot in the Realm
2009 Yearly Shoot-off Results!

January 16th, 2010 was the date, Skara Faire Grounds the place that the monthly winners of the Best Shot in the Realm gathered to determine which of them would be crowned the champion of all archers in the land for 2009!

The BSR is held every month in the tradition started by Society of Archers, now sponsored by Misfits of Society.

Toni Fierce, GM of Misfits of Society, started the night out by welcoming and congratulating the monthly winners, and a quick reading of the rules. The rules were similar to the monthly BSR contest, with the exception of there being only three advancement rounds in lieu of four, and contestants shooting one at a time instead of the usual two.

The monthly winners of the 2009 BSR contests were as follows:

February - Lady Kathryn
March - Arlon
April - Zanza
May - Tsukiko
June - Lord Frigin Azim
July - Nikita
August - Lord Sean Brega
September - Lord Sean Brega
October - Howard Hill
November - Cherokee
December - Maleki

All the contestants were in attendance except for July's winner, Lady Nikita.

After such a good showing by all the contestants, Tsukiko was announced the winner, presented a bow engraved Best Shot in the Realm 2009, 10 million in gold from Misfits of Society, and another two million in gold generously contributed by Aerowyn on behalf of the Society of Archers.

Misfits of Society would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the archers and spectators that came out to support this event in 2009, and remind all that we are continuing this Society of Archers tradition monthly in 2010. Please come out and compete for your chance to win and be included in the yearly shoot-off. Thank you also to all the spectators that made this such a pleasant event to host and all the individuals that generously contributed gold that went towards the final prize.

Toni Fierce would like to thank all of her guild mates, especially score keeper Bob the Prof, butte re-setters Fyiera Fyre, Lil Debi and SAM, Sandman the bling-man, and everybody in between from M!S that have come out and supported the event by helping set up, spotting, and participating. The event wouldn't be possible without all of you. *applauds*

The next monthly BSR event will be held on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at the Skara Brae Fairgrounds at 8:30 p.m. Pacific (9:30 Mountain, 10:30 Central, 11:30 eastern). M!S encourages all archers of the land to come participate in the fun and your chance to be included in the shoot-off at the end of the year!

Congratulations to Tsukiko!!!!
