Tavern Night with SAGE

Compassion. It's a virtue that allows one to care what and how their fellow beings are feeling. One of Sosaria's Tenents, it is a day to day part of life in our world. And it is near the Compassion shrine that I found myself on Friday. Jutting out from the murky swamp land the cabin, large and inviting, stood not ten paces in front of me.

Escorted by Lord Capricorn of Sage, I was politely invited to stow my precious Glue to the right. Through a set of double doors on the first floor of the establishment sat a stable facility with a stair case leading up the back. I could have gone that route to get into the Merry Meet but I elected to go back outside into the fresh air. All the way to the right and up through the front door I made my entrance.

This wasn't my first experience meeting the members of this alliance, having been introduced once prior during the Eternal Mystics Scavenger hunt. So I was immediately greeted with “Hail's” all around. Some of the faces I recognized and some I didn't. They made welcome for me none-the-less.

I've developed a fondness for Elven wine lately and I was offered a selection of such. It took no time for me to accept. It also took no time for me to realize that I was not the only odd one out this evening as a table over from me stood Alexander Valthos. Currently seeking the assistance of the Royal Britannian Guard, he made a stark contrast in his shadow and red against the rustic wood of the Merry Meet. And I would be remiss if I did not point out that for most of the evening all eyes, and comments, were on him.

This worked well as I buried myself in my journal taking note of the sights and sounds of Sagewinds. Polite and straightforward, at least it would seem, I listened as he addressed question and comment back to back. What started out as a night at a tavern had turned into much more.
