Xitara the Wisp


By the shadow of a streetlamp in Moonglow a shimmering shape slowly coalesced into a small blueish ball of light. The light drifted and bobbed it's way through the wide cobblestone streets.



The streets were empty except for a few townsfolk who ignored the wandering wisp. The Masters had told Xitara to seek the scholars, mages and wise ones of Moonglow; Xitara was certain it would find them in time.



It babbled and hovered near any who would listen speaking quickly in light musical tones:

"Hyxl t yy X ym Xxtyry frym thy Xyrxnxty Dxmynsxyn
X ypylygxzy fyr nyt byxng flyynt xn yyyr nytxvy tyngyy.
X ym tyld thyt thy wxsy ynys yf Myynglyw wxll yndyrstynd
X hyvy byyn synt by my Mystyrs ty fxnd syxtybly
Prycyryryrs yf xnfyrmytxyn thyt xs nyydyd xn
X ym syykxng yrcyny lyry whxch xs syxd ty by
Hxddyn xn Brxtynnxy ynd lyst lyng ygy
Syrvxng thy Xyrxnxty brxngs xncylcylybly rywyrds
Ty thysy why yry ybly ty prycyry whyt wy nyyd.
Xt xs syxd thy wxsy yf Myynglyw wyry thy lyst ty hyvy

Then it lurked once again in the shadows awaiting a scholar who could understand the wisp's language. Until then it would wait, the task of the Masters was to important to be left to chance.

Xitara the Wisp said in Moonglow to anyone who would listen:

Translation by Cayla Amidur:

"Hail to you I am Xitara from the Xorinite Dimension
I appologize for not being fluent in your native tongue.
I am told that the wise ones of moonglow will understand
I have been sent by my masters to find suitable
Procurers of information that is needed in
I am seeking Arcane lore which is said to be
Hidden in Britannia and lost long ago

Serving the Xorinite brings uncalculable rewards
To those who are able to procure what we need.
It is said that the wise of Moonglow were the last to have
Known of the lore we seek.
Listen and seek out the Lore

It will lead you to the one who knows
How to find the lost lore of Yyr'thy
When you have found the Lore."

Sadly the translation weighs heavily on the translation of
the word "Yyr'thy" which is unknown to me, the people of
Moonglow will aid the wisp at whatever cost.

Several other notes:

Xitara said what she was looking for would be on Verity Isle,
and that a person, place, or thing called "Julianos" would be
of great help in the quest for the Lore she saught.

Selcius Responds to "Julianos". Calls him a Prophet. But I cant get anyhting else out of him.

He responds to send you to the Lyceum for Julianos Writtings

Sounds like the last paragraph was badly translated... the syntax dosen't seem to be so off on the other parts...

And thats not wisp language.. it's obviously just english with y and x put everywhere...

And how would the schoolar know which y and which x would be which vowels ? Some seem obvious... but the name of the wisp itself ?
