Citizens of Britannia! I bring you the recent goings-ons of Maya Demeter, and Fredrick Clairmont. In lieu of the orc mines being ransacked and stripped of ore, Maya holds a less than savory opinion on Fredrick Clairmont. Even so, both Fredrick and Maya hold a similar dislike of a certain crowned half-elf. What could this mean? Read on for more details!

Regards,Maya stared at the docks through the small window in her dockside accommodation. She had grown up in Cove and always loved the sea. But recent events had kept her from her beloved city and waters. This Fredrick Clairmount was beginning to take steps against her beloved friends, the orcs. This she could not stand for. It was a catch twenty two. Clairmount although annoying, was at least beginning to have an understanding of how awful Lord Casca, the so called king, really was. But he also was taking advantage of the orcs, and this Maya could not just sit by and watch.
Perhaps an alliance could be made with Clairmount to move against this false king? Maya was uncertain. After all he did not seem to be deterred by the orcs claim to the mines. What was it he saw in that ore in particular she wasn't certain? This was all new to her. Diplomacy she was good at with the orcs, she had managed a truce years ago with the orcs at the fort near Cove. After many years of battling between the city and the orc clans, she finally managed a sort of peace. The orcs respected her and she them. She wondered if there was some way to make Clairmount understand that the orcs were peaceful if just left alone or perhaps even spoken with instead of just taking what he wants.
However this Casca character had even less scruples. He claims everything as his own. That man has some nerve to take what is not his. Maya held a report of what happened after she left Digdug to take care of the would be miners. She felt bad for having to resort to that but they wouldn’t heed her warnings to leave the orcs mining camp alone. But it seems that Casca showed himself as the evil man he is and took the ore away from Clairmount for himself. Maya hoped that this would make Clairmount angry enough to speak with her one on one and at least have a temporary truce.
Time would tell what would happen. But Maya hoped she would be seeing more of the seas soon. She missed fishing for that ever elusive large fish.

Fredrick sat staring at his ale fuming. 'King' Casca took the ore. All of it. As soon as he got it to the bank he decided to lay low. It didn't work. Casca's guards found him and 'convinced' him that it would be in his best interest to hand the ingots over. Irritating. But without the Orc recipes he doubted that Casca's people could unlock the secrets of the ore. The recipes... those were something he hoped Casca and Maya would never learn about. Casca would do his best to take them and as for Maya, he might have to work with the woman at some point in the near future so it would definitely be best she never learned of them... *sigh* Those recipes weren't safe at their current location. They had to be moved. Not good, not good at all. But it had to be done.
