Pacific's EMs held the first shardwide Hall of Commons meeting Saturday at the new building just north of the Britain moongate. A host of the shard's residents showed up to discuss some hot topics.
First, the EM's discussed the Hall of Commons and its purpose within the Pacific community. The HOC is meant to be used by anyone on Pacific to make announcements or discuss issues. Meetings occur every two weeks.
Cyno Razik and Tailspin also made sure those attending the meeting were aware of all the various communication channels they could use to reach their EMs outside UO. Those being the website: http://pacific.uoem.net, e-mail to Cyno: [email protected] or Tailspin: [email protected], or PM on stratics.
Some of the other announcments were as follows:
Ongoing competition to design the HoC building - Players enter designs of a building of the same size as the HoC 18x18. They post pictures on a thread the EMs create on Stratics, or send them by email. Tailspin will design the hall as per the winners design and place a plaque out front naming them. There is a thread in the Pacific EM Forum here on Stratics regarding this.
An announcement of another round Forge Wars for carpenters next weekend(Saturday, July 18th @ 7:00pm PST)
An announcement of a cross-shard boat race coming to Pacific in September
The possibility of a day-long summer fair with both player run and EM events
There was also mention of an in-game feedback meeting with Mesanna for a small group of player elected...well, players. So far those elected are Capricron, Cynthia, Pooh, and Tyeelor. The EMs are still accepting nominations for this.
Balka and I were also honored to have suprise plaques presented for our work as shard reporters for Stratics. We appreciate the recognition very much.
If all of the above wasn't enough for a night, EM Cyno(who was already pink) somehow talked several of the players into donning pink plain dresses for Mesanna's viewing pleasure.
Unfortunately, Mesanna was not a fan of Cyno's fashion sense. She retaliated by dying all of us pink, and even EM Tailspin failed to escape. Cyno, however...paid with his life.
At least the pink plague turned out to be fun, as the "cursed" individuals swarmed Luna bank. As fun as it was, the pink skin dye returned to somewhat normal at server up the next morning. Pacific can only handle so much of that color.
