Mikael sat staring across the table at Omen... "Have they been paid?" Omen nodded then began explaining. "Some were bought more cheaply than others. However, with threats levied against their loved ones even the most stubborn have fallen in line." As Omen continued to explain, MIkael listened intently. "We have garnered the services of several of Yew's citizens, these upstanding individuals will subtely begin spreading rumors regarding Aedon's involvement in past crimes against Yew. As news of his past transgressions spread, Gillian's place as Gov'nor of Yew will be brought into question."

A dark smile began to form upon Mikael's lips.. "Well done my faithful friend. This news is indeed welcome."

As Omen Tailamont closed the door to Mikael's study, his mind was already racing. He needed someone reliable, that was for certain. There were unimportant jobs that could be entrusted to low-level criminals, bound to service either through money or a simple act of coercion, to be sure; however, this was not one of those... Things had begun to move fast since his return to Yew and if he didn't pay very close attention to the next several steps, The Hand of Treachery could easily find himself caught in a riptide of his own making. He needed information. He needed it quickly and... he needed it to be accurate if they were to once again solidify their foothold in Yew. Omen knew that the Hand had to strike hard, had to strike fast and had to strike true before word of their return spread too far. He had seen first hand how entrenched into the local populations any and all forms of resistance could become once they realized the threat the Hand posed.

Gillian Gryphon. The so-called Governor of Yew. She was the key. Either she had to be neutralized or she had to be removed; there was really no way around it.

"Bring her to heel... or break her," The Hand of Terror had instructed him, "I don't care which it is. Just get it done."

To do either, he needed information.

The Hand of Treachery's lips curled into the slightest smile. He knew just the man for the job.
