Is there any way to alter them, or some substitute for them for Gargoyles...I just got SA and started a Garg miner and found out they can't wear the gloves...Thanks

[Mining] Mining Gloves for Gargoyle?

You can't alter them. There is a pickaxe with +10 mining available as a quest reward. I don't know if it can be altered so gargoyles can equip it or not. It would only be helpful during smelting and not something you want to use during mining as the charges get used up.
Pickaxes can't be altered, sorry.
On the other hand, pickaxes are among the few items that can be held by a gargoyle unaltered.
