Is the patcher/login servers down?

Been trying to log in today with no luck, when I try to run the patcher it says unable to download patches and the patch screen in the patch gump shows page no displayed, I can surf the net and play other mmo's.

Any thoughts

Weird. Wonder why I can not connect, was playing fine the other day and as I say can play other games.

There was a patch so you will need that. You on Win 7 ? Start client with run as adminstator option. Also check if patch folder is empty. And make sure the firewall not blocking anything.

if you have done the DNS fix in hosts file, undo them, they no longer work.

Must had been a glitch on the virgin media network as it is now working, was having trouble with eBay and inboards at the same time, thanks for the input though.

Can't get in either. Keep getting a communication error. Also this:

you will get communication error untill you successfully patch.

- make sure you run the patcher as admin

and if that dont work

- delete the content of your uo\patch folder.

Where do I find that file?

Always run everything as admin.

patch folder is in your uo directory, its a folder for storing downloads of patches untill they successfully are applied, sometimes the data becomes curropt and it cant use the downloaded data, but it cannot refresh it either, so it gives that error.

default it will be in c:\program files\ea games\ultima online ...... \patch

just delete the entire content of patch folder if any is there.

third posibility, if you are still not able.

run a scan disk on your drive where ultima is located. windows 7 got some data curroption issues under certain circumstances.

(right click drive, properties -> tools -> scan disk)
