How to dye a soul forge?

Hi all, I recently was given a soul forge that is dyed bright purple(like the bright purple plant dye)....is there a way I can change the colour?

In general, deeded items must be dyed before they are first placed.

I don't know whether the bleach would still work.

Sorry, once it's been placed the axed deed is blessed. It can not be dyed.

Just tried to dye a deed that was newly made (plain boards) new never set up & it won't take. Tried natty-dyes & the tubs & tokuno.

Sorry, I should have said. You can only dye add ons that have been made using special woods. Most people use oak.
