How do I quit?

The FAQ doesn't mention this, so I'm asking here: how do I quit the Council of Mages? I found the signup stone but can't figure out how to quit. I'm a returning player that forgot this character was in CoM and I don't wanna do factions any more.

Yea, what he said. It takes a few days to leave the faction I believe. Been a while since Ive left a faction.

you resign from your faction stone, the one that is inside the base. TB Sig room. CoM sig room. Minax Sig 'room'. SL 2nd Floor under sig room.
