It popped in my head that they change right before I went to bid again. I assure you I have been on the losing side of that b4. Actually Im pretty sure this is the first time I am benefiting from the rules haha.

Re lot L549, yes and no. Jason- did win, and the 51m, 56m, and 61m bids were invalid, but what happened was like this:

example:
tom bids 50 good
jerry bid 51 bad
tom 52 bid bad
jerry bid 53 good again (accidentally)

This case:
50m good by Jason
51m invalid by Kingshore
55m good - technically it became a self raise by Jason
56m invalid by Kingshore
60m good - technically it became a self raise by Jason
61m invalid by Kingshore
closed.

Jason's counterbids became self-raises, which are permitted. (If I ignored self-raises, then Kingshore's 56 would go against Jason's 50, Jason's 60 would go against Kingshore's 56, and Kingshore's 61 would still be invalid - same result.)

Technically, yes, but if you hadn't, then Kingshore's 56 would beat your 50, or his 61 would beat your 50 or 55.
