Help Enhanced Client Won't Patch

I have just downloaded the Enhanced Client to give it a try over the Classic, and now when I go to run, it comes up with the following error:

"The patch client was unable to retrieve the file [notes/unpacked/fd94fde0884eb812] from the patch server. Please try the patch operation again in a short while."

I have been trying this now for over an hour, and I was wondering if there is a problem at Mythic's end.

Now and then we can get that message. Try again to patch later.

I have been trying to patch the EC with the last patch for over a week. It tries to download the same file about 3 times (LegacyTexture.uop), getting stuck and trying again, then gives a patch error, always with the same file listed as the problem: base/unpacked/f51aa9700d765d25.

I had a major problem installing it on this pc in the first place. I have Windows XP X64.
I've put in a bug report, but has anyone any suggestions? I never had a problem when I only had a single processor and XP 32 , but with 64 it's a disaster.
