heard about a gm pvp tourny event?

i am PAD, old player, dont play anymore, but i heard that their is a pvp tourny coming from a gm and you get to win a statue etc.

Now since i always counted my pker as the best i might come back for it.

does anyone have any news on it plz?

and any old faces still around?

and also was the old accounts closed? my old -PAD- didn't seem to log in and password reset didn't work

Not closed, lost. We had a big crash.

I'm not aware of any GM, or more likely, EM tournament. The only tournament I've seen anything about is being done by IceCast.

EM_Sarakan placed a house nere trinsic moongate for this tournament. There's a book about it on ground next to fel Yew moongate. Sarakan has also been doing some teamwork with IceCast who is having PvP tournament next sunday.

So as normal...players request/ hope for a EM/GMs to come help out at a tournement for one thing and one thing only... as always ... ''one off items'' worth BILLIONS for the winner...the best pvper!! about 5% of the UO playerbase....woot?? yes 5% at best!!

EMs if u are reading this..please please get involved.. but please please dont make some uber item for the winners that wil be on sale for rl cash or on the rares boards quicker than grease lightning.....just give out some normal item...like a iron crafted weapon with simple words like ''winner pvp europa 2009''....and certainly nothing uber ....

In principle EM events can be fun..but they really need sorting out with the items the ems make and giveaway...It nearly killed UO once..please dont nake it happen again.

You speak of the EM's as if they dont know what they are doing THP, im sure they have the common sense to not put a highly uber weapon into the game, for one this isnt evne there event so IF something does get given out im sure it wont be a uber sword. Secondly, even if it was there event it still would not happen, they know what they are doing just let them get on with it.

the price will always be worth alot if its one off item even if its rubbish hehe. I do agree they should not ive out stupid items like we have seen in the past i heard rumour was statue for the winner. Pity i be watching man u kick spurs arse or i would come.

Dearie me.

I know I have been quite critical of the past EM programs - mainly due to timing rather than the EMs who have always seemed very charming and helpful.

But really how many of you have read the book at Yew gate felucca?

It says:

"The new pvp arena is located just south of the Public Moongate for Trinsic Felucca.

We are hopping to run monthly tournaments which will be open to all players and the winners will be honoured by having there names on a statue placed in the arena for all to see.

We will need to experiment with the tourny format and we will listen to player feedback to try and make this as enjoyable as possible for the players.

I am hoping to have an experimental brief tournament on Wednesday March 4th at 8pm UK time. I will keep this information updated and confirm this soon as possible."

So no mention of any rewards or items - simply a staute named in honour of the winner not a prize from what I can see other than some glory at having a statue named in your honour.

The devs have already said there will be no more uber items in game from EMs. Latest is there'll be a small token for all participants and the winners of whatever event is held will have their names on their prize.
The people who compete for prizes so that they can sell them for millions of gp are most unhappy.

for a mage is their any downsides to elf?

i saw on startics the buffs human vs elf, elf gets higher E resist, more mana, and loses carry weight. and omg hp regen lol

anything that is not listed their that humans get?

i guess elfs can wear any armor

HP regen aint nothing to laugh at really. There is quite a lot of toons running around with 18hpr suits now days.

Humans do get Joat 20 in all skills even though it appears as zero under your skill tab. Thats the reason allmost all of my chars are humans. 20 in all skills doesnt sound like much but it really is. 20 in med and focus = 3mr. 20 in tracking, detecthidden is allso great.

Its hard to argue with that 20 point mana boost, but thats more useful for mages than others. As Zidjin said, for people less interested in that, and who won't be buying up medittion anyway, JoaT is a very nice ability. Other thun things it can do: cat low-mid level buff spells from various schools you don't have training in (for instance; cast attunement, from spellweaving, or cast wraith form (if you don't mind trying 20 times before it evetnually takes effect) from necromancy. It is especially7 useful for dexxers and other non-mages who would like to be able to cast recall with a scroll.

The new KR client has certain cosmetic differences too. A deal-breaker for me: it is no longer possible (that I saw) to create a human with black hair.

deal braeker for me is that all my chars look like goofy bags of **** in KR and the fact that it crashes, locks up, crafting menu desides to make 1 billion itmes at once somtimes and you cant stop it,ect...

Also it looks like crap even if it looks better than 2d(i disagree) its stilll over a decade behind current mmo graphics, if your not going all the way why go at all.
