If you haven't heard about it yet then the Guild Wars 2 virutal world just got a bit more interesting to you. Mini games will be an extra activity added to the game for a change of flavor for the Guild Wars 2 Player Nation.

Guild Wars 2 capital cities will have a countless of ways to have fun that are exclusive to each setting. Mini-games have been integrated into the game that will cover almost every guild wars player flavor of choice. ArenaNet knowing that many players having a variety of likes and dislikes are making sure that variety exist in choices of mini games.

If a player wants to participate in a free-for-all then ArenaNet has provided that. If a player wants to compete against other players in a test of wits and skill then ArenaNet has provided that. How about the players that prefer to work as teams and compete against other teams? ArenaNet has provided that. Guild Wars 2 mini games has choices for any play style for the Guild Wars 2 Player Nation to like.

The ArenaNet developers mentioned one mini game as a bar brawl. Players will be in a bar, drink a variety of different flavors of Ale, each flavor having their own effect in the brawl. Maybe you don’t want to drink to attack a player but instead choose to throw a bottle at him, or punch him. No outside weapons are allowed so you have other weapons within the mini game to use. That bottle a player used breaks but still can be used. You could try to ‘shank’ the player with the broken bottle. No bottle close enoght to grab, then punch or kick the person into a chair or table. The table or chair breaks and you can use the board as a weapon. A player will do whatever to win the fight so plan to be as dirty as you can to walk away the victor of the bar brawl.

Another game that may catch the attention of a player who don’t like to bar brawl but into a shoot style competition. GW2 players will compete against other players shooting targets to get the highest score before time runs out. Being quick isn’t all what you need to do in this mini game. Players will have different abilities and wont be able to use them all the time so use them wisely.
Another mini game will be the snowball fight. Now GW1 players know this is associated with the Wintersday Festival. Who doesn’t like a snowball fight? Just as long there is no yellow snow I don’t see any players complaining.

There has been talk about a Norn mini game that is like basketball but uses kegs of Ale. The great Norn call it Keg ball. This is more of a team oriented game play.

The list of mini games known so far are, Archery, Bar brawl, Keg Brawl, Shooting Gallery, Smash ‘Em Up, Snowball fight, and an unknown activity that involves shooting mini golems that explode.

These are just a few and hopefully we will hear more from the wonderful ArenaNet Developers team closer to release if anymore mini games are being released.
