Getting Golems on your Boat ?

How do you get a Golem on to your boat ?
Can't gate'em, and the dang thing won't follow on to it!
Would like to use the Golem as fishing buddy/Serpant bouncer.

Ok figured it out sorry just cast a gate from some place else to your boat key then bring the dang Golem with you :p
