Forsaken World gameplay review!

Forsaken World is a very promising new free-to-play MMORPG brought to you by Perfect World Entertainment! Perfect World was kind enough to invite us into their Forsaken World Closed Beta. Backstory
The background story is based around the the planet Eyrda and the two Gods: Dyos and Nyos. Dyos discovered Eyrda and lived there for ten million years trying to discover the secret of an artifact he found in the planet and also turned the planet into a booming world. Eventually he left this planet to the care of his three children and went to explore the Universe.

Nyos also found Eyrda, and also placed one of his own children on this planet before leaving. Turns out the Dyos's offspring didn't get along with Nyos's child and eventually engaged in several wars.

During these wars, Nyos's son revived an ancient creature and gave him the body of a Dragon, now known as Storm Lord. He rules the Storm Legion and wages war against all the other races which were created by the children of Dyos.

This is where you, the player, come in. You choose a race to represent in the battle against the Storm Legion minions and, eventually, the Storm Lord himself.

Forsaken World is rather unique with it's race / class system due to the fact that your race choice affects your class's talent tree, making each class differ according to the race that they choose.

Perfect World has designed several Eastern Oriented MMO's, but this particular title is the company's first stab at making an MMO from the ground up completely developed with the international market in mind.

The game is still in it's Closed Beta phase so everything I mention below is subject to change as development continues.

Features
Fantasy MMORPG

• Forsaken World is a fantasy MMORPG with a few steampunk elements.

Quest system

• There is a quest system that allows you to level up throughout the whole game and quest on your own time without having to commit to group leveling or instance grinding.

Instanced content (6 player dungeons)

• The instance dungeons are designed for 6-player groups and provide better gear than quests. Where quests are for solo play, instances require a mix of one or more healers, one tank, and some damage dealers (aka DPS).

World bosses

• The game will support world boss events.

Complex crafting system

• There are many crafting professions, including certain unusual professions like Socialite and Adventurer!

Guild support

• There will obviously be support for guilds, as well as support for newbie guilds, quite a new concept! Upon reaching a certain level within the game, a player can be recruited by an NPC-managed guild which will provide new players with a sense of unity with other players who can then evolve together and eventually form their own player guilds.

Prayer system

• There is also a prayer system in place which will allow players to pray to the gods of the world which will in turn grant them a blessing, this blessing can be in the form of items, consumables or buffs.

• Server age system
  Each prayer made by players using the prayer system mentioned above will also contribute to the evolution of the server the prayer was made in, this will mean the server will eventually evolve into a different age, not much is known about this system yet, I don't believe this was working in the BETA but there was so much to test that I really didn't delve all that much into this system.
