In case you need it pointed out...the point is EA-Mytic is being hypocritical posting the very same URL on its own website that it suspended players for.

If a company is going to make rules, they should at least have the decency to follow them. It is very much like a police officer arresting you for posession then smoking pot as they drive you to jail...
Your analogy is flawed. Maybe if EA was having town criers say these URLs in game, then there would be hypocrisy.

Actually, EA is providing a service for those player/guilds/organizations who have legitimate and informative websites that cannot be mentioned in game. All they have to do is submit their site to Jeremy to get it posted on the FoF. Then they tell anyone interested "Go to this week's FoF online, and find the link to our website from there."

Is it a quirky way of customer interaction? Yeah. But it's not hypocritical, and there is certainly a workable solution for anyone who wants to get their game-related website advertised.
