the best thing to do is at 50 skill on fishing, is to crab fish off the docks at magincia as it's considered deepwater and you'll gain rather quickly, i buy traps and walk down the docks and put each on in then run back to the beginning and wait for the "bob" and then start pulling them up, bring a blue beetle or packy with ya you'll need those crustaceans for future monger quests and the no named ones can be donated to the library upstairs to the fisherman for certain rewards

And, when you get to dungeon fish, you can fish in the streams of Eodon for the dungeon fish, without jeopardizing yourself in the actual dungeons, for the rest of the gains to 120.
