The question for me as a non-roleplayer is what exactly is role playing within UO? Meeting up and talking in RP speak? Dressing up in the correct clothing etc? What do you guys do and when and where does it go on?

You just do whatever feels fun, usually. I suppose the inner motivation differs with each role player. For me, I enjoy those moments in UO when I can leave the concerns of the real world behind and play "Let's Pretend"... almost like being a kid again, symbolically bringing back my dollhouse, Lincoln logs, plastic horses, or toy soldiers...

Yeah, I know... some of us role players seem a bit odd to other folks.

Im 23 and I STILL have Lincoln Logs.

I'm 40 something and I still have my Lincoln Logs and a stack of Legos that would make every kid in town drool.
