Compassion (Escort) Quest and the Paladin

Paladins in lore are seekers of the virtues,but in UO its hella hard to find an npc escort that doesn't want to go to Cove,Serpents Hold,or Nujelm. So Draconi et al please consider adding a type of gate spell for the pally or code more npc's to have a destination thats not the three cities above. Please?

I gather this has something to do with the latest town invasions, the ones bases around which faction owns a given city. The guard zones are also apparently broken as a result of that. Note that the three cities you mention weren't a part of the faction wars.

Bravehorn always wants to be escorted to the same place every single time, and can be Flame Striked when he gets there...

For the non-gate casting characters, there are 2 quests that are repeatable to get your daily Compassion gains. The first, as already mentioned, is Bravehorn, with the 2nd being the girl that hangs around the inn above the Oak's champ spawn in Ilsh. That one is a straight shot escort just like Bravehorn, although you have the 5 minute wait to repeat that quest.

Yeah I do escort Lissbet when the cities are loaded with "Cove Escorts".

Some of them do want to go to Jhelom, which you can use the permanent moongate to get to. Suggest cruising Skara for Jhelom trips (less mileage).

Also, check the Trinsic Barrier Island and strip between the south wall & moongate, for rescues from brigands. Rescues don't have the 5-minute timers.

I miss the days, pre-ML, when you could have multiple rescues in tow. I once took 5 rescues from Trinsic Barrier island and one normal escort ON FOOT to various points (through britain, dropping off one there, then the others and ANOTHER resucue I picked up along the way, to Cove, Minoc & Vesper - only having one escort of the 7 time out and disappear on me, with none of the serverline issues many had at the time).
