Suppose I speak in chat then switch character. For example, I make a deal with a char I'm currently logged on then switch to my crafter to fulfil the contract. I prefer to see what I said 1 minute ago with my other char (and not what I said few days ago with my crafter).
So I want one (common) chat history for all my characters. IIRC firstly it worked this way. Are there some settings to choose this mode?

no, the history is for every character for privacy matters...

Let's say you are playing then you log out and let play a friend with another account. Why he should read your chat history?

I believe characters from the same account could share chat history.
