General Carpentry Skill Dificulty

I am at 96.0 Carpentry. Was checking stratics to find out what I should make.

I look up the Tetsubo, 53.3 % Success chance. On stratics as well as in the in-game gump. I click make, the Crystal Ball Of Knowledge says Challenging?!

For all other skills range 40-60 is optimal. For Carp 53 is challenging and 83 is Easy. Something wrong there?
