Cannot Purchase Faction Horse!!!

first off to prevent the usual responses:

1) I have proper amount to purchase horse

2) I am purchasing a horse from a faction horse breeder for TB

3) I am in TB

4) I am rank 10


issue:

horse breeder responds

You are not in my faction I cannot sell you a horse!

Likely it was placed by a faction NOT TB, the ownership of the town changed, and therefore the guard tags and vendor tags changed. But the vendor "sees" itself as belonging to another faction.

Many times I have seen guards that were obviously SL or TB take on a CoM tag when town ownership changed. Its been a long time now, but it seems to me that if we wanted them to act according to CoM commands, sometimes they had to be killed, a sheriff installed, and new guards placed.

Look for a breeder wearing a purple shirt. If they have a TB tag but not a purple shirt, its a bugged vendor and you can't buy from it.

fire the horse breeder.
place your own.

buy from him

the correct repy is above.
the horse vender you are trying to buy from was placed by another faction.
so when the town was taken over the tag changed but the vender still belongs to that other faction.
you can tell this by the color of the clothes they wear.
(purple shirt TB, red shirt MX and so on)

so your only choice is to fire the horse vender and place a new one if you want a horse.

Your average player is incapable of noticing the fact that the color of the vendors doublet corresponds to what faction the war horse vendor sells for.

this change come about a year or so ago.

before that the venders still maintained their faction title so it was easy to see who they belonged too.

someone could put in a bug thingy to EA but lets be honest... it probablly wont get fixed, hehe.

Do you still need rank to ride your war horse? Assuming my old accounts haven't been deleted I should have an old dark green warhorse on my character. If he logs in after 4+ years is he going to bolt and go wild?

I wonder how much money I have left in the bank paying stable fees.. lol

there is no longer daily or weekly stable fee's

there is just the 30 gold at the time of stabling and then that is it.

to ride your horse you need to be level 2 (if im not mistaken)
which is pretty low.
that one level above entry level.

horse wont go wild on you, only will if you have quit factions and give it a order.
i have all 4 faction horses on a guy of mine and i have them all in the stable.
i pull them out from time to time to show people what they all look like side by side.

as long as you dont give them a order you can keep them bonded forever.
