Citizens of Britannia!

Know that the Royal Council, in unanimous and glorious unity, has elected from amongst their noble selves a new man of the people, and for the people. Know that the Royal Ambassador Casca has been raised up to lead the people of Britannia in her times of peril and peace, as King pro-tempore, with all rights, statuses, and honors thereof.
Know that Lord Casca, ruler of the Kingdom of Britannia, shall lead his people with humility and grace, always striving for the greater good, always seeking to honor the Virtues our most just and magnanimous founder, our once and future king.

Know that this decision comes at a time of great uncertainty and trouble for the Kingdom, and that even our Lord Casca has been touched by these events. He hath survived the evil designs of evil men, who sought only to rain chaos down upon fair Britannia. Even as his noble brethren fell to fates most ignominious, he hath been preserved through his own power and prowess, an exemplar for the common man!

All hail Lord Casca, All hail our King!

I WIN STRATICS! @_@
Wow. I knew Draconi had some ideas for this game that were off beyond Pluto but I never thought anyone at EA or Mythic would do the generic new king bit. Dumb.

And the plot thickens! This is going to be exciting I bet. I can't see what they have cooked up for us.

I wonder where Avery and Ricardo actually are?

Ted, kings aren't voted into power.

And FYI, in the real world "Lord British" is the intellectual property of Richard Garriott, who was basically booted out of EA. That, in turn, required the fictional character to be removed from an EA product. They did finally do a good job of wrapping that story up though. The king of Britannia took the remaining pieces of the Gem of Immortality with him into the Void, to keep them from falling into the wrong hands.

So, there you go Ted.

Thank you Bella for the historic review. There's a whole Wiki on Lord British and the history of UO for anyone that cares. I found it by googling awhile back .

Oh, by the way, the newly appointed Council-something-or-other elected Casca as the new King. Being that he was the lone survivor of the recently slaughtered Council, rumours abound as to his true intentions. My question then would be, who appointed this newly seated Council?? Strange brewings me thinks.

As a matter of fact, I hear that there may be other claimant(s) to the throne that consider Casca to be an upstart and usurper. At least that is the rumour I've been hearing.

King or none, Britannia will need a capable and stalwart champion to lead us through whatever fate brings. Whether Casca is that champion remains to be seen.

PS - I personally think it an affront to have a King once again. We need to be more in tune with the times and elect a Queen (female or any other would be most progressive in my humble but outnumbered opinion, I'm sure.) After all, there are a lot of "female" impersonators in the game that I know quite well. LOL

Ricardo, went on the slim fast diet and no longer resembles his portraits from what I've gathered. Avery has since joined him in Yew prison. Together they are heard to make a two-year old attempting the violin for the first time look good. Or at least that is what the guards are saying. *shrugs*

I suppose they'll be holding the record, as far as Britannia's death row statistics are concerned. :p

I'm all for electing a queen - especially if she'll have eSex with me.
