Is there any plans to make Golems semi "bondable" at some point in time?
One idea i had several years ago and posted on the old Stratics Suggestions Forum, was to have a Golem (This includes Leather Wolves, Clockwork Scorpions and Vollems now) drop a "Brain Core" upon it's corpse at death (or as an alternative, make the "Brain Core" as a tinker craftable). What the "Brain Core" is, is a silver hued Brain that "stores" the skills of the deceased Golem (-0.1 to account for pet death), and when used on another Golem of the same type, that Golem gains the skill levels stored in the "Brain Core". Only the skills are transferred over from the Brain Core, the Stats/Resists from the deceased Golem do not carry over, since this is a new body/shell. It's essentially a Soulstone for Golems.
The big problem with Golems nowadays is that not only are they mostly underpowered, but also that any training put into them is undone when they can die so easily. Another part of the solution, would of course be to lessen the cooldown incurred upon healing the Golem. The cooldown is currently like 30 seconds, which is WAY too long. It should be shortened to something like 10 seconds.
My original idea suggested that GM Tinkers could create Blackrock Golems (They didn't exist yet in game then). Tinkered Blackrock Golems would essentially be a beefed up version of the normal Tinkered Golem. In terms of stats, they'd have 725-800 Strength, 60-80 DEX (Trainable to 125), 100-150 INT, and 450-500 Health. Their Resists would be 60-70/55-65/25-35/85-95/20-30. Their Base Damage would be 16-25, while dealing 70% Physical Damage/30% Energy Damage. They'd be capable of delivering Colossal Blows and Crushing Blows. Their "freshly created" skills would be 70-90 Wrest/70-90 Tact/150-200 Resist/0 Anat. Wrest and Tact would be trainable to a max of 110. They'd take 3-4 Control Slots, and they'd require substantially more Ingots (and possibly a Small Piece of Blackrock) and skill to Repair than a normal, tinkered Golem.
