barrel cactus how do i get one ?

i crossed a yellow tri barrel with a blue prickley pear cactus and got a green poppies seed and a green bullrushes seed. i wanted a green barrel cactus. somebody tell me wot went rong???

the way the system now works is when crossing a tri-barrel with anything you have a 1 in 18 chance of getting what you want. 17 original plants plus the colored flowering cactus(4 barrel) look up plant oddities on startics cross pollination chart.

If you're trying to get the barrel plants for thorns, let me know I have some you can have. I also stocked up on each color for the barrel plants, glad to give you any you need. The key is to NOT cross polinate them. Or at the least until you get a stock of each color.
